48-Hour Film Slam
A real-time filmmaking challenge that gives participants just 48 hours to write, shoot, edit, and submit a 4–7 minute short film.
Novice, emerging and established filmmakers from across the state have proven that creativity thrives under pressure, producing outstanding films while having a whole lot of fun along the way.
On the Friday preceding the screening, participating teams receive three required elements that must be incorporated into their films. From there, the clock starts ticking as they race to turn their ideas into finished short films.
What follows is a whirlwind weekend of filmmaking—powered by creativity, little sleep, and plenty of coffee—as teams work against the clock to bring their stories to life.
The completed films will premiere at The Porcupine Theater on Wednesday, September 23.
