At the annual Kachemak Shorebird Festival you can spot, study, and celebrate thousands of majestic bird specimens that pass through Kachemak Bay on their spring migrations. But only one bird will have you laughing yourself silly, and that’s the joke-throated, chuckle-breasted Rubber Ptarmigan. This Anchorage-based standup comedy production company is soaring down to Homer with some of Alaska’s funniest comics in tow. We’ll be roosting at the Porcupine Theater on the first night of the Shorebird Festival to kick off the long weekend with a cacophony of laughter. No binoculars needed to watch this funny fowl!
